Comprehensive Error Analysis of CLDAS Soil Moisture Over Arid and Semiarid Regions

Soil moisture (SM) is an important parameter in all environments because it affects the relationship between land surface and atmospheric processes. Therefore, finding products that can accurately measure SM critical to improving drought management. The objective of this study was investigate accuracy satellite data from produced by China Meteorological Administration Land Data Assimilation System (CLDAS), focusing on Huaihe Heihe River basins China, as both are prone drought. To verify daily SM, measurements were obtained 34 meteorological stations January December 2016. In addition, CLDAS measurement collected at a depth 10 cm 40 compared with observed soil (OBS SM). results show agreement OBS R > 0.66 0.47 Basin. 0.63 0.44
